  4. ~wThe median is an alternative estimator for the rule.

  6. The median is that value selected such that half of the prediction values ~
  7. for the rows lie above the median and half lie below.  ~
  8. For sets of data that have large erratic noise values or other ~
  9. non-normal behavior, the median is a better estimator than the average ~
  10. given on the first line of the rule.

  12. The low and high quartiles provide similar divisions of the row ~
  13. predictions values that lie below and above the median, respectively.
